Help Name Our Crias
In our last newsletter we asked for your suggestions to name one of our female crias. Wow, we received over 50 name suggestions. Big thank you to Sherry Y. for your suggestion of Takoda. Takoda means “friend to everyone” in Sioux.
Takoda's mom, Michaa is one of our more standoffish alpacas so we are hoping Takoda will grow into the meaning of her name.

We have posted on Facebook about this cria that still needs a name so be sure to check it out. If you are the first person to suggest the name we choose you'll receive a complimentary Alpaca Farm Tour for up to 5 people as a thank you.

Alpaca Adoption Program
We've run into some major technical issues setting up a website for our Adopt An Alpaca program. This means it will be delayed for some time as we have to start over on a new platform.

What we can tell you is that there will be three different adoption packages to choose from. Each package will contain an adoption certificate, a biography of the alpaca you have chosen, a photo and a fibre sample, some packages will include free tours, special activities, discounts and free products. There will be 21 different alpacas on the adoption list to choose from.

One other glitch has been how hard it is to get a good picture of a single alpaca, all the others want to be in it too.

We are now open again for Alpaca Farm Tours. Our COVID protocols are still in place, we don't require proof of vaccination but we do ask guests to wear a mask if possible and to sanitize hands as you enter the gift shop. We also sanitize between each group of guests and all our staff are fully vaccinated.

For our GTA/ southern Ontario visitors please remember to dress warmly it is usually a bit colder and snowier up here than the GTA. The tour is in the barn so we are out of the wind and snow but the barn is not heated and will be about the same as the temperature is outside. Book your tour here www.alpacatours.ca

We hope everyone has been able to keep warm and cozy during this latest cold snap. If you are still cold be sure to check out our on-line shop Laslyn Alpaca We have everything to keep you warm from head to toe. If you have cold feet be sure to check out our thermal alpaca socks, they will keep your feet toasty warm all winter. For those chilly nights our wonderfully lightweight but incredibly warm alpaca duvets will keep you warm and cozy.

We are still planning on running a contest with some great prizes but decided to wait until we could reopen so that is still in the works.

The new V.I.P. Alpaca tour is now available to be booked! On this tour everyone will get to take home an alpaca plushie as well as receive a discount in the gift shop. We're still working on getting it added to all of our different pages but you can check it out here.

If you are not comfortable attending a tour at this time please consider buying a gift certificate for a tour to use at a later date. It would help us out during this difficult time. Please also consider supporting small local business's where you live.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
