Jupiter has been one of our top grey producing males. As of August 2025 13 out of 20 of his crias were greys, only 6 of those dams were grey! He is even on 10 of each sex. We are glad we didn't give up on Jupiter at the beginning as his first cria was a dark brown male, Buffalo, the dam was our grey girl Serenity. Second cria was a great surprise, he bred brown Tiny Treasure, (whose mom usually only produced various shade of brown) and they criated the gorgeous Mercury. We really like ...

Sarasota is medium fawn with a lovely handle, good density and crimp which she has passed on to her cria. She has an even temperament. Sarasota is good mom with lots of milk. Her first cria with us was a beautiful white male - Sampson. Sarasota & Lancelot produced a lovely light rose grey, Salsa who placed 2nd out of 6 at the 2015 Alpaca Ontario Spring Show. Ginger is a beautiful light rose grey, with very long and crimpy fibre, at times she almost looks like a suri. We can't wait to see what we can produce with her fibre.

Ginger is also the final cria of 18 year old Sarasota. Sarasota didn't think it was time to retire, but we made the decision for her. Sarasota is an excellent mom and loves having crias near her. She will spend the rest of her days in the nursery pen so she always has a cria near her.

Of the 12 crias born this year Ginger is the most rambunctious, she loves to run outside and she loves to run and check out the different pens when she is inside for feeding.

She has tons of energy, she can actually jump straight up in the air when she is excited and when she lands she kicks her back legs out to the side then start running. It is so fun to watch her but she really needs to learn how brake or turn before sliding in to the gates to stop. She also often runs straight into other alpacas.

Ginger comes out to the aisle for feeding at night with her mom, Sarasota, her big sister Princess Sara and Truly Cute as well as wee Jack. The others all need a bit more mash to keep their weight up than the other girls in their pen, Ginger comes out with the hope that if she eats more she won't nurse as much, she is just over 4 months old so she still needs to be with mom. Ginger eats for a few minutes then runs around the barn, goes back to eat a bit more then runs around. Finally she just stays beside mom and nibbles fresh hay.

Ginger is always happy to come out and show off for visitors, her mom comes out for the treats but isn't always as keen about visitors as Ginger.
